Session 5: Gaming Zone!

Game based learning proves to be quite advantageous when coaching a class however depending on tits relevance. It does not only help the kids unwind by distracting them away from book context but upon reflection, it also helps inculcate good values like perseverance, analytical/tactical and subject learning on the whole. For more active games like wii and etc, it would also promote healthy living by exercising for those that have never attempted the real sport. However, It is crucial to tap on the pedagogical objective of the proposed relevant game as a reminder to the kids so that they will be able to balance.

I have learnt that by choosing an interactive relevant game can help assist in learning when a subject/topic is dry. Kids loves working with their friends as it is naturally more exciting atmospherically therefore from a bigger picture, it would not only establish teamwork but they would remind and assist each other out of motivation to avoid failure of the game and thus, that is where learning takes place.
