SO FAR...

I saw this video and it showed me how kids can actually be the meanest. i have been research about cyber bullying and it is sad how it is that it happens all ove the world.

i can say that i enjoy Dr Tan's lesson alot. So we have come to the hands on part of the sessions and i foresee a whole lot more of thinking and analyzing. i actually cannot wait to see the demo presentations and learn about different tools that i can learn from.

i have sort of taken an interest in cyber wellness a bit more (and not because of my individual essay) i mean really, the cyber world is a whole different world and we are letting our kids into a world that is open to other predators and other things which includes cyber bullying.
But i guess everything inmoderation right?

In session 3, we learnt about lesson planning and how we can write better lesson plans.
Lesson plans are important. it gives us indications on what we want to teach the students and what they can learn. it is important for us to know where to start and where to stop in a lesson to maximise the students learning.

3 things that i have kearnt from the process
i have learnt how to write a lesson plan more effectively. i have learnt the difference between goals and objectives and how to write them more effeciently.
i dont want to fall in the cool crowd trap.
2 things that i can apply
i can apply the skills that i have learn to my lesson plans.

1 thing i would like to learn more
i think i would like to learn more about strategies of meaningful learning and intergrate ICT in the lesson to support the teacher and the student. I want to think of the student and the preedogies before the technology.

  1. Excellent video! Even though it is just a dramatization, it is based on a pattern of behaviour that is more common than some are willing to admit.

Although the story ended well, I am aware of a few that haven't. I have even had student teachers in the past share with me or ask me for advice after being victimized.

I am glad that you have a meaningful interest in the topic of cyberwellness. I hope that as a teacher, you will not only be aware of it, but will also be sensitive to students who might be victims.
